| I have noticed that some football teams look confident at home but become much more cautious when playing away. Their overall season statistics can hide that difference. Do you study home and away performances separately before placing a bet? Which numbers matter most to you in these situations: goals scored, defensive record, points gained or the quality of previous opponents? I am interested in whether this comparison regularly changes your assessment of a match.

| Separating home and away form completely changed how I analyze matches. A team might look great in fifth place overall, but if they have only two wins outside their stadium, betting on them on the road is a huge trap. My main metric is expected goals created in away games, as it shows if they actually attack or just defend for ninety minutes. Checking gsb live updates during away fixtures usually reveals if a team is playing for a draw or actually pushing to win.
